Inspiration in the morning is my favorite cup of coffee. This article is such a great read! If you find yourself struggling with the new, redeemed and refreshed you – versus the old people pleasure you – then stop what you’re doing and read this article. It will give you a new perspective on how to remain refresh and beautifully changed. I wish I had come across an article like this last May. It would have really helped me to remain rooted in the euphoric state of mind I found myself in when I returned from a weekend of rebirth and renewal after my experienced sabbatical to Tennessee.
When I returned I was in such a high state of mind and spirit. I was changed because it was what I needed and I wanted to remain committed to that change. My mundane way of living no longer appealed to me. I had been pulled closer to God that weekend and I wanted to draw even closer to Him when I returned back home to Georgia.
Oh boy, did the enemy have something completely different in store for me. The ironic thing is that I was told as wonderfully high as I was during that weekend, I was going to come down in a major way because I was in the site line of the enemy. Let me tell you, the reality of that truth I was given hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn’t want to go back to that woman I was before my visit to Tennessee; however, the frustrations of life and the pull of the fast pace of everyday living kept pulling me down to a place I didn’t want to be, a place I spent that weekend in May getting away from. It took months of prayer, fasting and surrounding myself with a strong support system of God fearing women to remain where God had placed me several months ago during my visit to Tennessee.
If you’re in a place of struggle after having a transformative experience, read the article included in my blog post. It will help you to remain where God has placed you and bring so much perspective as you fight against the enemy and the pull of the familiar comfortable path of everyday living.
